This machine I purchased for a client who is a graphic artist - on a budget - and with all the hardware pluses, I bought it with the one negative (Vista) because I figured the 3 gigs of RAM would offset the slower OS. I was very happy with the result, especially with his use of very large file sizes in PhotoShop. This machine has all he will ever need, and makes a good transition machine for him as an ex-MAC OS8 user.

I was very surprised to hear a constant grinding noise when computer is running, very annoying. It does preform well though, and the price was good. Overall I would rate it 4 out 5.

Received the unit 13 days after initial order. Once received, the unit wouldn’t boot. After checking all internal connections, the computer booted up, but the RJ45 connection is faulty. Loaded Vista Business 64-bit, but LAN problem persisted. Installed a ethernet adapter and off I go. Don’t have the patience for RMA and losing the computer. Otherwise a fantastic deal. Will probably buy another.

The machine is 64bit technology, but they only give us, Vista-32bit SP1. For those of you wanting to downgrade from Vista to XP. I can say its been a headache. The manufacturer doesn’t support it, and doesn’t really have the correct drivers on their support site for any of the onboard devices. If you work with Vista everything works out of the box, if you go with XP… be in for a surpise when nothing works. I use XP Pro-64 and am still hunting for proper drivers for all the onboard devices. The onboard LAN card isn’t recognized by generic drivers and can’t be used until you find a driver for it, so in the mean time I’m using a wireless USB adapter for LAN purposes. You can’t beat the value, so that got a 5, as well as quality and performance. If it wasn’t for the blue lighted power button, you couldn’t tell the thing was on. Features only gets a 3 until I can find the LAN card drivers. Also becareful when plugging in anything into the back panel, the support is flimsy.
